tags: don't know what i'm doing, large eye, desperate, housewives, is, boring, so, i'm, doing, this, instead

---------------------------------------------------------
since i've been away, there have been crazy new developments in blog world.

namely: tags/categories/labels

i don't want to spend too much time studying up on this topic, but would like to roll with the 'in-crowd.' can someone please explain what they are and provide a quick way for me to use this fancy feature.

thank you and much love.

you're the best kind of scary.

i can't help with the tags thing.

or the 'in-crowd' thing.

like the eye, though.

ryan-
you are so funny...and you do have the greatest eyes.
i love that very look...the wide, sincere eyes...so mesmerizing with their impossible shade of blue.

and now you are asleep on the couch.
i am about to go retrieve you and bring you to bed.

i'm happy that you've been contributing so much here lately,
but...i'm still not sorry for eating the last piece of cheesecake. It was rightfully mine :)

(that's the real reason he was upstairs blogging...brooding about my unwillingness to just 'hand-over' the whole slice)

though, now my stomach does hurt a little...i probably could have shared a bit more :)

i love you.

Until I saw this photo, I never really thought about it, but now....

...are you part-alien? I mean I know its insensitive for me to refer to your race simply in terms of, you know, how we feel about you, but I just don't know what world y'all came from. I mean I know you arrived at Roswell in the 50s, but I didn't know that you had intermarried with our species until this picture.

Positive proof.

I could yammer forever about tags, but the short version is -- the world used to be categorized with file folders: once you grouped a thing in a folder, that's where it had to stay.

World 2.0 is now officially organized with tags, so any one thing can be tagged with as many different identities as you can imagine and we don't need folders anymore because tags create a way of keeping track of how things relate to each other.

The book to read (or read about) is _Everything is Miscellaneous_ author/book blog:

(why am I helping an alien?)
